The Landlord Liaison’s focus for clients are those who are facing eviction and/or dealing with housing discrimination. Karla assists tenants in reading and understanding their lease, as well as knowing what is needed to be a good renter. The Landlord Liaison is also able to provide support via advocacy/second chance letters, security deposit returns, payment arrangements and things of the sort. 

Karla works closely with those facing eviction by providing consulting services to these households and then referring them to LAW (Legal Action of Wisconsin) when appropriate.  Karla really wants to help educate and empower tenants in knowing their housing/renting rights, as well as having thoughtful and honest conversations about what “can be done” in all varieties of housing situations.
