Call to Artists: Help us commemorate the lives lost to transgender violence in 2025
This year, for Transgender Day of Remembrance, we are welcoming artists to create joyful pieces about the lives lost this past year.
Want to get involved?
Choose a name from the USA 2025 list. The list includes their name, age, photo, state, and interests as available.
Create artwork based on their interests and who they are. Digital artwork is preferred but not required.
Submit your art to us by November 19th via emailing info@7riverslgbtq.org or dropping physical artwork off at The Center. Please include their name within your art.
Details of their passing is not included in this list. If you choose to dig further into your selected person, please be aware information may be graphic. We will not accept any artwork that portrays violence.
All artwork will be included in a slideshow presented at our Transgender Day of Remembrance event on November 20th. This slideshow will highlight the lives lost within this past year to transgender violence, both within the United States and around the world. The slideshow will be available on our website after the event.
Each year on November 20th , The Center hosts a gathering of those who wish to recognize Trans Day of Remembrance. It takes place in honor of all our transgender sisters, brothers, and siblings who have lost their lives to transphobic violence. We conduct a roll call of lives lost that year and observe a moment of silence for those who lost their lives.
